What it is

A governed bridge between your ERP and AI

Today, a question like “which customers went over their credit limit this month?” means finding someone who knows the right SAP screen, or waiting for a report. With B1MCP, anyone you authorize types that question into their AI assistant and gets the answer in seconds — with the actual figures, pulled live from your company database.

B1MCP is not a chatbot bolted onto SAP. It is a connectivity and governance layer: it decides who may ask, what each person may see, and keeps a record of every question — while the AI does the understanding and the explaining. Access is strictly read-only: nothing an AI does through B1MCP can ever create, change or delete a record in SAP.

Governance

You decide exactly who sees what

This is the heart of the product. AI access to an ERP is only acceptable when it is narrower than a person's screen access, not wider — so every permission in B1MCP starts at nothing and is granted deliberately.

Module grants, per person

A sales rep gets Sales and Master data; only finance staff get Finance. Anything not granted simply does not exist for that person's AI.

Row filters

Limit a person to their own slice — for example, “only sees customers of sales employee 10”. Enforced on the server, on every query.

Field hiding

Hide sensitive columns outright: customer balances, item costs, salaries. Hidden fields are stripped even if the AI asks for them by name.

Everyone connects as themselves

Each person signs into B1MCP from their AI's own connector screen. No shared logins; revoking access cuts it within a minute.

A full audit trail

Who asked, when, what was returned — and, just as important, what was refused. Denied requests are logged too.

Credentials locked away

SAP passwords and keys are encrypted at rest and never leave the server. The AI platforms never see them; neither do your users.

If your Service Layer is reachable over the internet (hosted SAP, cloud VM), B1MCP connects to it directly over HTTPS. Setup is entering the address and a read-only SAP user — no installation on your side, working the same day.

On-premise SAP B1

If SAP runs on a server inside your office network, our team installs the B1MCP secure connector at your site — a short, guided session with your IT:

RECOMMENDED PRACTICE

Start with a test database. Connect a test or demo company first, try your questions and authorizations there, and add the production database only once you're satisfied with exactly what each person can see.

Honest boundaries

What it deliberately does not do

A tool you trust with your ERP should be equally clear about its limits:

  • It never writes to SAP. No posting documents, no updating records, no deletions — reading only, enforced at every layer.
  • It cannot show what you haven't granted. The AI asks; B1MCP refuses anything outside the person's authorizations — and logs the refusal.
  • It does not replace your accountant's judgement. It retrieves and summarizes your real figures; decisions stay with your people.
  • It does not train AI models on your data. Answers are generated per question from live queries; your database is not uploaded anywhere.
